This tomato tuna penne pasta recipe is inspired by one of my favorite lunches - the tuna melt with cup of creamy tomato soup combo. Not only is it a delicious meal, it's also how I prove that sometimes fish and cheese do go together.
Whenever I hear chefs say that you can never add cheese to a pasta that contains fish, I'm forced to use the "Tuna Melt Defense" argument to support my belief that sometimes it's okay. If this combination is acceptable the local diner, then why can't we enjoy the same flavor profile in a bowl of pasta? I rest my case. Enjoy!
